What we collect

I Love Caulk is a static website. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no comment boxes, so we don't collect names, email addresses, or anything you type into the site. The Caulk Finder and the tube calculator run entirely in your browser; your answers are never sent to us.

What stays on your device

Our games (Bead Master, the crossword, and the quizzes) may save best scores and puzzle progress in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. That data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Advertising and cookies

We show ads from Google AdSense to pay for the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google's Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
• Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.

Where the law requires consent for advertising cookies (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), consent is requested through Google's consent tools before personalized ads are shown.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may log technical information such as IP addresses to keep the service secure. See the GitHub privacy statement.

Children

The site is written for adults who own caulk guns. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
